Why Give Blood?
Community Blood Center must collect almost 600 units of blood daily to meet the needs of area hospital patients. As there is no substitute for blood, we rely on volunteer donors like you to supply the life-saving blood and blood components to hospitals in Kansas and Missouri.
Directions and Notes:
What do I have to do?
Making an appointment is easy! Simply click here and follow the steps below.
Click the link above or visit https://www.esavealifenow.org/PublicScheduler/, enter Alltruck in the Sponsor Code Box and press “Go”. You will be presented with a list of available blood drives that we sponsor. Select the drive that is most convenient for you and choose your preferred time to donate.
CBC has a new online Donor Portal. If you have already registered in our former system, you will still need to create a user account for this new system.
If you have not yet created a login in this new system, Enter your Email Address, Date of Birth (mm/dd/yyyy) and check “No, I’d like to create an account.” You will then be prompted to choose your password and enter your name and contact information. Once you press “Finish” you will have the option to confirm your appointment and select a reminder method. Press the “Finish” button here again.
To donate blood you must be at least 16 years old, weigh 110 lbs and be in good health. Donors age 16-18 are also subject to additional height/weight restrictions. For questions regarding medical eligibility to donate blood, please call 1-800-688-0900.
You can donate blood every 56 days. If you have recently made a blood donation, or if you have already scheduled an appointment to donate blood, please accept our thanks on behalf of the patients whose lives you may have touched. Please note that if you have been previously told by Community Blood Center or another blood center that you should never donate blood, you would not be eligible to donate at this time.
